  Stayed here recently for a wedding in Castle Hedingham. Rooms were comfortable and reasonably priced. Pub itself was great with a good selection of beers as well as bar games (including Darts & Bar Billiards). Best part though was the cooked breakfast...the full works..I didn't need feeding again until 8pm that day!

  Very poor. Waited 10min to be served while only 7 other people in there - they didn't make eye contact and no apology for the wait. Said they took cards and when I presented mine one said, "Is is contactless?" to which I replied, "Yes" and she said, "Thank F*** for that." Both bar staff seemed drunk and disinterested. Awful smell of old cooking grease coming up through the floorboards. All this while proudly showing an 'Under New Management' sign out front! Won't last long with service like that.
